How tendering works
Cabo San Lucas has no cruise dock. Your ship anchors in the bay and small tender boats shuttle passengers to the marina pier, right in the center of town. The ride takes just a few minutes. From the pier you’re within walking distance of restaurants, shops and — importantly — the docks where boat tours depart.
Timing your port day
Build in a buffer: tenders can queue at peak times, and you must be back aboard before all-aboard time (usually 30–60 minutes before departure). For a relaxed day, choose a tour of 1–2 hours and keep the afternoon free. Always allow extra time to return to the tender.

Best tours for cruise passengers
Short, marina-departing trips are ideal. A glass-bottom or clear-boat Arch tour takes about an hour and covers the highlights — the arch, Lovers Beach and the sea-lion colony. If you have more time, a snorkeling trip or a short sailing cruise both fit a port day.
